Prof. Joseph K. Ferenchick

Joseph K. Ferenchick is Director of Music Ministry at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church in Levittown, PA.

 Joe has a broad background in the Byzantine-Ruthenian liturgical music, and currently holds numerous leadership roles including Representative for the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Passaic on the Inter-Eparchial Commission for Sacred Music for the Byzantine Catholic Metropolitan Church Sui Juris of Pittsburgh and Head Cantor for the Annual Pilgrimage in honor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, an event which holds the distinction of being the oldest and the largest Byzantine Catholic pilgrimage in the country.

 In previous roles, Joe served as a cantor at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church (Philadelphia, PA), Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church (Pottstown, PA), and Saint Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church (Mont Clare, PA).  He was also active in various aspects of parish life within his home parish of Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church (Minersville, PA), including coordinating the altar servers and assisting with the congregational singing.

Joe’s primary, secondary, and college education were all completed at Catholic institutions, culminating with his graduation cum laude from Cabrini University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.  Joe also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare Administration from the Pennsylvania State University.

Joe resides in Montgomery County with his wife, Laurel, and his sons Joseph Jr. and Alexander.
